Here’s your Friday update on our two weekend services and we’d love to have you attend them both. See the schedule below.
SATURDAY at 7:00pm:
We invite you to join us for a special REMEMBRANCE SERVICE commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist’s attacks on America September 11, 2001. It was one of, if not the saddest day in American history as nearly 3,000 innocent people lost their lives in the three attacks. On Saturday night we’ll be showing a video of what happened that day and hear words from a Retired New York City Fire Chief, who along with his Firefighters, were some of the very First Responders to the Twin Towers. We’ll also hear from Retired Naval Officer Tem Frierson, and Major David Ellis from the Cobb County Precinct 5 Police Department. We will also honor all Military, Fire Fighters, Law Enforcement Personnel, and others that serve to keep us and our Nation safe. As we think of those who passed, we can’t bring them back, but we can remember them. For those who’d like to come, but cannot, you can watch via LIVESTREAM by going to www.mariettanaz.com.
No Sunday School this week as the congregation joins Chris and I in worship for the last time of me being their Sr. Pastor. It would be a privilege to have you join us for this memorable (for Chris and me at least) service. Words cannot describe our heartfelt love and appreciation to everyone of you. As a member of our church or member of our Devotional Family, each one of you are special to us. If you can join us Sunday in person, that would be great. A wonderful meal is planned immediately following the service of which you’ll enjoy. If you can’t attend, you can watch via LIVESTREAM at the website above. For those who may be wondering, I will continue with my daily devotionals, and you’ll continue to receive Marietta First Church news and prayer requests until October 1st. Devotionals only will continue after the 1st. Hope to see you Saturday night and Sunday morning. We love you all!!
