“Showers Are Coming”

Life can be very difficult at times and you may have said along with others, “If it weren’t for bad luck, I wouldn’t have any luck at all!”  Unfortunately we have days or maybe even a season of what seems to be unending trials.  It’s a wonderful day though when we stop holding out for luck and live each day by faith.  There really is comfort in knowing that when good things happen, it wasn’t because of a “break,” but it’s knowing our “steps have been directed by the Lord.”

What we must realize though, if God is directing our steps, we accept the fact He knows us better than we know ourselves.  Therefore, trials, setbacks, and hardships is part of His plan for our life.  This sounds hard and perhaps harsh, but God doesn’t make any mistakes.  There is nothing He can’t do and whether life is good or bad, He’ll never bail on us.  He is faithful and loving.  In Ezekiel 34:26 we find these words, “I will bless them and the places surrounding my hill.  I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing.”

We all need a shower of blessing from time to time.  And those showers will come, “in season” (God’s perfect timing).  He knows right where you are, what you’re going through and how you are feeling.  You may think you’re alone, but you aren’t.  Everyone has a season of drought and these are the times we learn to be obedient to God, one day at a time.  When our brook dries up, that’s when we grow.  Once again we’re reminded God is God and our life, along with all our circumstances, rest securely in His capable hands.  Keep Jesus in the center of your life.  Get rid of anything that keeps you from being devoted entirely to Him and get ready.  A shower or showers of blessing very well may be upon you soon.
