Lots of things are happening this weekend – don’t miss out!!

A number of teens will be heading to the District Fall Retreat tomorrow (Friday) around 5:30pm and returning Sunday.  Pray for their safety and great time of fellowship and spiritual growth.  Pastor Matt Waldrep and Jose Moreno will be providing the transportation.

Saturday:  Ladies Bible Study will not meet until January.

Sunday:  Attend a Sunday School Class this week.  All classes begin at 9:30am.  Come early for coffee and snacks.

DON’T MISS a special Thanksgiving Worship Service.  Time will be given in the 10:45am service for people to give thanks to God for His blessings upon them.  Jim Werner will briefly share his story as he celebrates one year since suffering 5 cardiac arrests in one day.  Combined, his heart did not beat for 17 minutes.   Heather Fletcher will tell of her journey battling stage 4 cancer with a 17% chance of survival and after several months be told she is cancer free.  If you know of someone going through a rough time, these two people will offer great encouragement.  I will be sharing things we are thankful for and also give input on our theme for Christmas leading up to what will be an amazing Christmas Eve Service.  On that first Christmas HOPE came into the world.  Because of Jesus, “HOPE IS BORN” and this HOPE reaches every one of us.  See you Sunday!!

Decorating Time:  Following our Sunday Worship service, everyone is invited to stay and help put up Christmas decorations.  There is lots and lots to do and we’re looking for 50 – 60 people to stay and help.  Pizza and beverages will be provided.  There will not be an evening service this Sunday night.

Prayer Requests:

Annie Maude Kenerly … diagnosed with a stage 4 brain tumor recently.  Doctors have reported 80% of the tumor was removed with the biopsy.  It is necessary she receive chemo and radiation.  This Friday (tomorrow) she will have an MRI and on Sunday be fitted with a mask in preparation for treatments which will begin the first week of December.  Annie Maude’s sister and Sharon Hodnett is with the Kenerly’s at this time.

Heather Fletcher … side effects of her first preventive chemo treatment was tiredness.  Much less than what she has experienced in the past.  Pray this continues.

Bob Kutas … suffering every day with acute pain.

Beverly Frinkle … each day filled with much the same and sometimes a new type of struggle.  Dementia getting worse.

Serious unspoken request
